Understanding the
distance
ratings: In all
Rangefinder brands, the top yardage rating (i.e. Laser 1200 stands
for 1200 yards) is the best performance for the most easy-to-range
targets that are rather large or reflective.
Practical real-life targets will
be accurately ranged somewhat less than the optimal range listed.
As a general rule of thumb, subtract 150-250 yards from the optimal
range listed.
